Started working in 2016 as a KYC specialist, then senior KYC specialist, Team Leader for KYC, participated in the launch of new countries following verification requirements, then Project manager for the KYC team and now I am 2.6 years Product Manager in SumUp for the KYC verification process globally. 

Giacomo manages the Compliance function for Paysafe Group, comprising of a team of 100 staff across the globe. He leads delivery of major projects with impact on operations across the globe including selection and integration of new vendors, managing relationships with prospective and existing banking partners, internal software development, process assessment and improvement, and target operating model design and implementation. He is the face of the Compliance department when it comes to dealing with external payment partners, prospective and existing banking relationships, external auditors, and regulators. 

Ivan Dimitrov has substantial experience in establishing, strengthening, and managing compliance programs in large corporate structures. He has successfully led the Compliance functions in prominent telecommunications companies in Bulgaria and Bangladesh. Ivan currently serves as Global Compliance Officer and heads the third-party risk management department at the Finish company Cargotec – a leading cargo and load handling solutions provider.

Ivan holds a master's degree in Law and a master's degree in Political Management. He is a certified internal auditor in ISO 37001:2016 - Anti-Bribery Management Systems, showcasing his commitment to preventing bribery and corruption. Additionally, Ivan is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional - International (CCEP-I) and holds a certification in Managing Sanctions Risks from the International Compliance Association.

Denitsa Rebaine has over 7 years of experience in financial crime compliance. She is currently the EMEA Deputy Head of Sanctions at an American investment banking services holding company. Previously she was a Sanctions Compliance Officer at one of the largest financial institutions. In her role, she manages sanctions risk and provides advice and guidance to functional partners and key stakeholders – regionally and globally, on OFAC, EU and UK sanctions regulations. She is also a Chair of the ACFCS CEE Chapter. 

In her previous roles, Denitsa was performing investigations and anti-money laundering reviews involving individual and institutional clients, as well as foreign correspondent banking. Prior to joining the anti-financial crime field, Denitsa worked in non-governmental organizations promoting education and human rights. In April 2020 Denitsa started the Compliance Time podcast which brings together compliance experts and creators from all over the world.

Elina Karpacheva, PhD is a lawyer and academic researcher. Currently she teaches criminology & criminal justice at University of Portsmouth, UK. She is a co-founder of an EU-wide network of independent whistleblower case handlers and a chair of the European Compliance Center – an international NGO with a specific focus on corporate compliance in the CEE region. Elina is Bulgarian Editor in Chief of the Risk & Compliance Platform Europe (interactive media platform for risk & compliance news) and Corporate Crime Observatory (international repository for economic crime research and analysis). 

George Marinov is CEO and Co-Founder of ePay.bg and EasyPay. His path in the world of digital payments began in 1995 with the creation of DataMax - a banking software development company. In 1999 he launched the internet payments system ePay.bg and in 2004 he started the development of EasyPay network. George Marinov graduated from the Medical University in Sofia. 

2004 – 2019

I started my career in ProCredit Bank, which is part of ProCredit Group consisting of development-oriented commercial banks operating in South Eastern and Eastern Europe. My experience is in the field of regulatory compliance, money laundering prevention, terrorist financing, fraud, international sanctions. 

2019 – 2023

In 2019, I joined UniCredit Bulbank, part of UniCredit Group, where I was initially responsible for the Anti-money laundering and financial sanctions unit. Since 2020 I become Head of Compliance department, which covers AML and FS, GDPR, Conduct risk and Market integrity.
