On-demand: Climate Transition: The data needed to make the transition

Jane is Head of Sustainability for LSEG Group. Jane leads LSEG's sustainability agenda globally, working in partnership with a wider range of stakeholders across the business she is responsible for delivering LSEG’s sustainability strategy across the full value chain including its culture, operations, supply chain and products and services.

Jane has worked in financial services for 25 years, always with a specialism in sustainable finance and responsible investment. Over that time she has had roles within asset management, investment consulting, wealth management and financial market infrastructure.  Jane is also a non-executive director of The Investment and Savings Alliance (TISA) and a Director of The Centre for Financial Capability. Jane has an MSc, Environmental Technology from Imperial College and a BSc Environmental Science from University of Greenwich.

Jaakko Kooroshy is Global Head of Sustainable Investment Research at FTSE Russell, an LSEG Business, where he oversees a team of researchers and data scientists developing climate and sustainability-related data and scores for the use in benchmark and index products.

Previously, Jaakko was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, where he was the European research lead for GS SUSTAIN, providing insights in investment opportunities around the low carbon transition and other long-term trends.

He has also been a Research Fellow for Energy, Environment, and Resources at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House and an analyst at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS).

He holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, a BSc in International Economics, and a BA in Social Sciences and History from Maastricht University

Elena is responsible for driving the integration of ESG, green and sustainable data, insights and analytics into the different products, services and client propositions across LSEG’s Data & Analytics Division. This includes managing the overarching ESG strategy for the Refinitiv business, as well as the integration of our market leading ESG, green revenues and TPI data sets across Refinitiv and FTSE Russell indices. 

Elena has worked in sustainable investments and ESG for 16 years holding a variety of industry positions, including membership to the European Commission Technical Expert Group (TEG) on Sustainable Finance. She was also a member of the ESG Working Group advising the CFA Institute on ESG standards for financial products.  Currently, she is an Advisory Board member of Sustainable Finance .LIVE and frequently speaks at ESG conferences and events. 

Previously, Elena led the global ESG business at Refinitiv, the former Financial and Risk business of Thomson Reuters. Her career began at Morgan Stanley and then, ASSET4, where she worked as a Senior ESG Analyst.

Elena holds an MBA and BA in Finance and International business from Stetson University, Florida.
