Video: ESG & the Fund Value Chain–Lipper Fund Selector Forum 2019

On July 3, 2019, Refinitiv hosted the fifth Annual Lipper Fund Selector Forum at Canary Wharf. The final panel of the morning was “ESG and the Fund Distribution Value Chain.”

The panel considered the influence of ESG throughout the mutual fund value chain from product manufacturer, gatekeeper, and fund distributor. It outlined how ESG criteria are able to add value for end investors without compromising potential returns.

Craig Bonthron, Kames Capital.

Craig Bonthron is an investment manager in the equities team at Kames Capital, responsible for actively co-managing high conviction global equity portfolios. He focuses on analysing disruptive and sustainable investment trends within the technology, healthcare, industrial and consumer sectors.

Craig is also the co-creator of the Kames Sustainability Soapbox, a weekly forum for discussing the alpha potential of sustainable investments.

He joined Kames in 2014 from SWIP, where he was an investment director in global equities. He co-managed both the Halifax Global Ethical Equity fund and the SWIP Global Islamic Equity fund for more than three years.
